Adult Education

Each of the adult church school classes uses different curriculum.

The Patchwork Class chooses its curriculum from books and from the Bible, alternating each fall and spring. Sunday — 9:30 a.m., Room 300

The Awakening to the Divine class explores how we have awakened or are awakening to God in our spiritual journeys through art, poetry, etc. The class functions through shared leadership. Sunday — 9:30 a.m., Room 306

The Men’s Bible Study gathers together to fellowship, study the Bible, and build stronger community. Sunday — 9:45 a.m., Room 310

MOYOs (Mothers of Young Ones) is a class for mothers of small children who meet to provide one another with support. Sunday — 9:45 a.m., Parlor

The All Right class, geared to the developmentally disabled adults who live in the Hess Drive Home but open to everyone, uses the special education curriculum from Lifeway Resources. Retreats focusing on special issues or groups, such as prayer or youth retreats, are offered periodically. An all-church retreat, an inter-generational event emphasizing creativity, fun, fellowship and recreation, occurs in mid-August in the mountains. Sunday — 9:30 a.m.
