"Written on Our Hearts"

Sunday, September 23 - Eighteenth Sunday after Pentecost

“I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their heart; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” In the midst of the ancient Israelite’s darkest hour, the complete and utter destruction of their entire lives by the Babylonians, comes what some have described as the most hopeful chapter of the Hebrew Bible. In the very midst of their ruin, God promises to be with them, to dwell within them, to know them, and to allow them to know God. How can God’s promises speak to us now as we face what often feels like our own lives are in ruins? Listen as Pastor Melanie Vaughn-West helps us explore what God has to say to God’s people in times of disaster and destruction. Click to watch.
