March 13, 2022 – “The Fox and the Hen”

As we enter the second Sunday of Lent, we welcome Oakhurst member David Rensberger to the pulpit. David Rensberger is retired from teaching the New Testament at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta. He and Sharon have belonged to Oakhurst for almost 40 years. He continues to read and write about the Bible, Christian spirituality, and other topics.

March 6, 2022 – 1st Sunday of Lent

Jan Richardson writes a blessing based on Jesus being baptized, hearing God call him “Beloved,” and then the Holy Spirit immediately driving him into the wilderness for forty days. The Lenten Season is traditionally understood as our own metaphorical venture into the wilderness of our hearts, where we wrestle with demons, and are waited on by angels.
